Bodybuilding giant turned Sutton Coldfield actor Martyn Ford is set to take part in the ‘greatest’ fight of all time when he takes on Sajjad Gharibi, also known as the Iranian Hulk.
Ford, who is six-foot-eight and 320 pounds, is set to face fellow bodybuilder and weightlifter Sajjad Gharibi, who weighs 390 pounds, in a boxing match in London on April 30.
Often called the scariest man on the planet, Ford, 33, will face Gharibi, 30, at the O2 Arena in what will be the toughest fight ever.
The two were originally scheduled to take place in a mixed martial arts contest with Polish MMA organization KSW (Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki) three years ago. But now the two will go head-to-head in the Capital Celebrity Boxing Battle hosted by Boxstar Celebrity Boxing.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Iranian Hulk.
Who is the Iranian Hulk?
Sajjad Gharibi is an Iranian bodybuilder, weightlifter and MMA fighter.
He became an online sensation for his unique build and physique. He was called up by UFC departing Bryan Ortego, who challenged him to a fight despite being 240 pounds lighter than him.
He posts photos of his physique, videos of his training and promotes his upcoming fights on his social networks.
Gharibi has over 600,000 Instagram followers.
How much does the Iranian Hulk weigh?
Gharibi is said to weigh 390 pounds (177 kg). Many have questioned his physique, with little video on him, people think he photoshops his images.
He was seen smaller than people initially thought when he came face to face with Martyn Ford earlier this month.
The Iranian Hulk attempted to push Ford, to which the Birmingham man greatly overpowered him.
When will they fight?
The two are due to meet in the ring on April 30 at the 02 Arena in London.
The date has been changed several times and was recently pushed back a week from April 23 after a clash with Tyson Fury’s fight with Dillian Whyte.
