Music for Mavis Tuesdays at the Gazebo will feature country duo Mike Preston and Kim Curry at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8 at the Turner Public Library on Matthew’s Way in Turner.
Curry is a talented singer, who vocally leads The Nashville Express for 10 years every Friday and Saturday night at Country Crossroads in Standish. She wrote and recorded a song and also won the Maine State Singer Award as well as an Artist in the ’70s and’ 80s and recorded in Nashville in 2016.
Preston is a talented country singer and guitarist raised in Limington and has devoted 27 years to music. Cared for by many famous Maine musicians, he quickly found success locally, opening shows for The Charlie Daniels Band, George Jones, Ricky Van Shelton and a roster of other artists. He has released several recordings and won numerous regional awards throughout his career, during which he lived and performed for 10 years in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2014 Preston and Curry joined a local band and in 2017 formed a duet with Preston playing acoustics and Curry playing bass. Together they bring decades of musical variety spanning new country, traditional country, rock and blues, sharing their vocal talent individually as well as sweet intermingled harmonies and duets.

The hat will be given to pay the musicians, the suggested donation is $ 5 to $ 10.
