One of Kendrick Lamar’s most notable tracks Mr. Morale and Big Steps now has a video.
On Saturday, K-Dot unveiled the visual for “N95,” co-directed by himself and Dave Free. The video shows K-Dot – and at a few different times, Baby Keem – floating through various black-and-white and color scenes as he sits by a payphone, practices on a rooftop, and stands standing on the water.
The clip begins with the words “THIS SHIT HARD” pasted over a view of a beach, where a young boy watches Lamar stand above the water, dressed in all white. Kendrick can then be seen sitting next to the piano, running away from a group of men and driving a vehicle with Keem sitting in the back.
At 2:24, Keem even kisses his tall cousin, prompting a funny reaction from K-Dot. And right at the start, the clip ends with “THIS SHIT HARD” which takes over the screen again, after a skateboarder – credited as Tyshawn Jones in the YouTube description – shows off a few different moves.
The visual follows K-Dot’s latest video for “The Heart Part 5,” which was shared last Friday ahead of the album’s release. Mr. Morale and Big Steps has now been out for two days, and with an accompanying video for what is starting to become the project’s most streamed track, it’s possible Lamar has another radio hit on his hands with this one.
