Gemma Collins is using candles around the house to help offset the rising cost of living and she insists even the GC is concerned.

The 41-year-old TV star is rumored to be worth millions from his reality career and other endeavors, but Gemma is still feeling the pinch of the cost of living crisis.

She said: “I may be the GC but I am even in the cost of living crisis. I literally turn off all my lights. This is not a joke.’

Gemma – who shared a photo on Instagram using candles to light her home – is worried about the potential impact of the ongoing crisis, but she is still determined to enjoy Christmas.

She said December 25 would be a particularly “special” day this year as she urged people to ditch the gifts and focus on their “little”.

She told The Sun: ‘When I watch the news and see people losing their homes and being freezing cold. It is serious. I’m really trying to do my part this year.

“That’s why Christmas is going to be so special because we’re all going through this and f**k presents.”

Meanwhile, Gemma recently revealed she felt “shocked and embarrassed” when her bank accounts were frozen.

The outspoken star revealed her assets were cut and she ‘cried on the phone’ to the bank as she tried to buy a property in 2020.

Gemma – who shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex – said: ‘It happened to me two years ago. The shock, the embarrassment, I couldn’t sleep, I felt sick, I felt like I was sleazy, like, “Am I a criminal?”

‘You know what, the guy on the phone, I was so distressed, I was crying on the phone, I was like, ‘I’m going to lose my house, I’m going to lose my house. They read a script, emotionless, telling you, “Go to the branch. ‘

Meanwhile, Gemma revealed this week that she was trying Slimming World in a bid to lose weight after years of struggling with hormonal imbalance.

She said: “My weight goes up and down, it’s a constant battle for me. Do I feel good about myself? Yeah. Do I keep trying to lose weight, reduce it and keep it stable? Yeah. It’s something I will always struggle with.
