Florida shooting: At least 22 people shot dead, including 2 fatally, after attackers got out of an SUV and fired assault rifles at a club, police say

Shortly after midnight, a white Nissan Pathfinder pulled up to the El Mula banquet hall near Hialeah.

It was then that three people “got out of the vehicle with assault rifles and handguns and started shooting indiscriminately at the crowd,” Ramirez said.

“The result is 20 to 25 victims with gunshot wounds and two dead at the scene.”

The injured were taken to various hospitals in the region. At least one of those hospitalized is in critical condition, police said.

The banquet hall and billiard club had been rented for a concert, Ramirez said.

Angelica Green said her son and nephew were among the victims.

Her son was shot in the abdomen area and is in stable condition after the operation, Green said on Sunday.

“However, my nephew was shot four times,” she said, including one in the abdomen area and three times in the leg.

Angelica Green said her son and nephew did not enter the club when they were shot.

Green said his son was his only child.

“That’s not a statistic. He graduated from college last year. So he was educated. He was going out with his educated cousin just to celebrate the weekend, and they weren’t yet. got to the club, ”she said.

“They said some guys, three guys they noticed… they just started shooting… for some reason we don’t know.”

Miami-Dade Police are investigating near field shell case markers on Sunday.

The Miami-Dade Police Department is asking anyone with information on the shooters or their whereabouts to contact authorities.

“They are cold-blooded murderers who indiscriminately shot a crowd and we will seek justice,” Ramirez tweeted. “My deepest condolences to the families of the victims.”
Marcus Lemonis, TV personality and CEO of Camping World, offers $ 100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the mass shooting, the businessman tweeted Sunday.
The Police Director thanked Lemonis for his offer and reminded the public that informants can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers.

“We need our county to step up its information,” Ramirez said.

“This type of gun violence has to stop. Every weekend it’s the same. It’s targeted. It’s certainly not random,” Ramirez said.

Miami shooting kills 1, injures 6 on Friday
Another shootout in the Miami area on Friday left at least one dead and six others injured.

This mass shooting took place in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood late Friday night.

Police said they were looking for a silver Nissan Maxima that may have been involved in the shooting.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis offered his condolences to the victims of those attacked in the latest shooting on Sunday.

“We mourn the loss of the two victims and pray for the recovery of the more than 20 people injured at the El Mula banquet hall near Hialeah”, DeSantis tweeted Sunday.

“We are working with local authorities to bring justice to the perpetrators.”
