We preview the new music video for Jenna Paulette’s love ballad “El Paso”, shot in the Texas city of the same name in one uninterrupted take.
In his new music video presented today for THIS readers, country singer Jenna Paulette creates the most beautiful of moving postcards. With a beautiful landscape of El Paso behind her, Paulette looks straight at the camera and delivers her brand new ballad – named “El Paso”, not so coincidentally – with just the right amount of dramatic effect.
“El Paso” is about someone missing, specifically someone who spends most of his time rope-riding and ranching. In the song, Paulette sings about the sadness she feels when she’s away from her cowboy:
You have both feet on the ground
I’m over the moon so high
In another town
Just dream as big as the Texas sky
But now I miss home
While I’m here on the road
You got a way with that lasso
Taking me back to El Paso
“El Paso” is Paulette’s first single this year, with more new music coming soon. The subject matter is certainly familiar to the artist, as she spent a lot of time growing up on the family ranch in Oklahoma. But these days, she rides what Bon Jovi has called the “horses of steel” from gig to gig. She’s enjoying new buzz after being named in the CMT Next Women of Country class of 2022, and she’s heading to Nashville this weekend for the BMI CMA Fest Block Party.
Country fans will see a lot more of Paulette in the months and years to come. Familiarize yourself now if you haven’t already: hit play on the new video above. It’ll have you hooked, and chances are the guy she sings about will forget about his fence repair for a while.
